Modelling effective use of technology starts with strong Tech-Pack, or knowledge of how to effectively use digital technologies. This requires allocating regular time to explore new technologies, apps, or even to better understand ones you are already utilising. Modelling the use of technology for colleagues involves a continuous and thoughtful dialogue at all opportunities. In my staffroom, I am fortunate to have another beginning teacher to my left, and several experienced teachers to my right. My beginning teacher colleague and I frequently have discussions in the staffroom around technology use, asking each other for guidance or ideas, or just sharing our wins and frustrations alike. This enthusiastic dialogue about educational technologies is infectious, with other colleagues, set in their ways, being tempted to try things that might streamline their processes or help students construct understandings of concepts.
